Texas State opens practice Monday

The 2008 Texas State football season officially gets underway on Monday, Aug. 4.

While players report on Sunday, the first real practice will begin on Monday.  Due to new NCAA legislation, teams are not allowed to have two-a-days until a week into fall practice.  The Bobcats will use the new-found time to watch old game tape and learn the playbook.

Texas State opens the 2008 regular season against Angelo State on Saturday, Aug. 30.  Be sure to read the San Marcos Daily Record to keep up-to-date with Bobcat athletics.
