Bobcats disciplined at practice

Texas State wasn't supposed to run sprints on Friday afternoon with Saturday's two-a-days looming. The plan changed as soon as Bobcat head coach Brad Wright heard of several players misbehaving in the dining hall.

Near the end of practice, the coaching staff motioned all the players to the sideline. From there, Wright snapped. He said he didn't want to receive a phone call from an older woman saying his players laughed when she fell in the dining hall.

Wright told the team, "If you don't know how to behave like a Bobcat, then we're going to have to teach you." The team proceeded to run 3/4, full, 3/4 sprints for 10 minutes. Several players vomited and it led Wright to run them harder.

"We were not going to run today, but a couple issues came up, so we ran as a team because we were embarrassed as a team," Wright said. "That's what it's all about (representing the team on and off the field). You embarrass yourself, you embarrass all of us."
