College Football: Talking recruiting

Had a chance to talk about Texas State and its recruiting with Christopher Lyke, the owner of TexasHSFootball.com. You can check out the interview by CLICKING HERE.

National Signing Day, by the way, is tomorrow (Wednesday).

Enjoyed the interview. I can't believe the old regime only recruited how many OL in 4 years??? WOW! Now considering the late time period Coach Fran and his staff had to recruit, they are putting a nice class together. This team will have about a lot of seniors this coming season (4 WRs, 6-7 OLs and 3-4 LBs) and the staff seems like they are adding in areas of need. Being a Brazos Valley guy, I'm happy to see a Bryan (1) and College Station (2) kids on that list as well. Here's to hoping there are a few surprises on signing day like JUCO TE Chase Harper or OL Josh McNeill, if they haven't committed somewhere already.

Hey, I can dream can't I.

Go Tstate!

Adrian,

Thanks for the kind words. I was hoping it came out all right. You really can't tell when it's going on. The old regime only recruited 12 OL in four years. Yeah, that's wild to think about. It's looking like Harper will end up at Texas State, more often than not, but we'll find out tomorrow.

The following is meant to be helpful...
You make several statements that are idiosyncratic. "...I mean..." and "...you know..." You are supposed to be an authority on the subject matter. Your statements, with unknowing idiosyncratic phrases and jumping between thoughts is difficult to listen to. Take time to form your thoughts, speak clearly, and show your knowledge...don't ask the listener to try and believe you. BTW...the guy interviewing you was MUCH worse.

Anonymous,

Thanks for chiming in. The interview was kind of surprised on me, so I had to pull together all of my thoughts, hence the "umms" and "you knows". With more time, it would have been a lot clearer.
