- Texas State's men would be the No. 2 seed at 9-4 even though it has the same record as McNeese State. The Cowboys own a tiebreaker against the Bobcats from a win earlier in the season.
- Texas State's women wouldn't be in the tournament as Suzanne Fox's team is currently sits in ninth. The Bobcats fell to Southeastern Louisiana Wednesday night and the Lions improved to 4-9, earning a tiebreaker against Texas State.
