College Football: Coaching staff nearly complete (Naivar returns to San Marcos)

New Texas State head coach Dennis Franchione hired Rice defensive line coach and special teams coordinator Craig Naivar this afternoon. Naivar will reportedly become the new defensive coordinator for the Bobcats. This will be his second stint with Texas State as he was the defensive coordinator under David Bailiff from 2004-06.

So I am starting to like the staff so far. Fran is starting to make a believer out of me. I am ready to see how far we can go.

Followed Rice for the last couple of years and their defense has been one of the worst in Div 1. Please tell me it was because of players and not the system. It has been 4yrs and very little improvement overall on Def.
