College Football: Arndt done for season

Texas State's disappointing season took another turn for the worse Sunday afternoon.

The Bobcats learned true freshman quarterback Tyler Arndt, who limped off the field after Saturday's game with Northwestern State, tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament and will be out for the season. Arndt sustained the injury when he planted his right foot to turn the corner against the Demons on a run late in the fourth quarter.

Texas State will now turn to redshirt sophomore Tim Hawkins to lead the offense. In five games this season, Hawkins has completed 9.1 percent of his passes for 11 yards and two interceptions.

The Bobcats travel to No. 4 Stephen F. Austin this Saturday.
