College Football: Bobcats dealt blow two days before season opener

Texas State learned Thursday morning it would be without defensive tackle Adley Eshraghipour for its 2010 season. Eshraghipour tore his ACL during Wednesday's practice and will require season-ending surgery.

Eshraghipour was injured when he stepped on redshirt sophomore quarterback Tim Hawkins' foot during offense/defense drills.

The Bobcats will now start redshirt freshman Jeff Clermond (6-foot-2, 280 pounds) at defensive tackle. Texas State also moved Jamie Clavell-Head, another redshirt freshman, to the interior to compensate for the loss of Eshraghipour.

Eshraghipour will redshirt and still have two years of eligibility remaining.
