It's off topic to the coaching search and not a surprise, but where is the WAC going to find a replacement for Hawaii?

Right now I get the feeling Karl Benson doesn't believe he needs a replacement for Hawaii. He didn't try to find one for Boise State, so maybe he's just content in watching the WAC fold. Not really sure though.

Let's assume there isn't a replacement for Hawaii and the WAC doesn't pull though. Does the university have a contingency plan?

Paul — I really don't think so. Right now Texas State is putting all of its eggs in one basket (pardon the cliché but it's true). The Bobcats are going to ride the WAC bus until the wheels fall off. Texas State doesn't want to be a part of the Southland Conference in 2012 so the Bobcats better hope someone else finds them appealing if/when the WAC does fold.
