- Junior third baseman Kyle Kubitza went in the third round to the Atlanta Braves.
- Kubitza batted .310 this season for Texas State with 10 HRs and 66 RBIs. He wasn't that great with his glove (23 errors), but drew a team-leading 54 walks.
- Junior pitcher Carson Smith went in the eighth round to the Seattle Mariners.
- Smith went 9-3 with a 1.99 ERA for the Bobcats with 129 strikeouts.
- Junior first baseman Casey Kalenkosky went in the 13th round to the Washington Nationals.
- Kalenkosky clubbed 21 HRs in 2011, breaking a previous school record set by Paul Goldschmidt and Luke Cannon.
